After a three-day trial, a Jefferson County, Alabama jury returned a verdict in favor of an HKH client on February 10, 2016. A former employee of the long term care client alleged she had been wrongfully terminated in retaliation for filing a workers’ compensation claim. The jury agreed with HKH attorneys Lynlee Wells Palmer and Sean C. Pierce, who argued that the former employee’s rule violations, and not her workers’ compensation claim, prompted her employment termination.
